Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

These supplies will be used to help me organize student supplies within the classroom, create a more engaging learning environment, and reward positive behavior through PBIS methods. Firstly, the storage cabinet will allow students the ability to place their class notebooks and folders in a convenient, labeled location. Thus helping them maintain a clean classroom space and removing the risk of supplies being damaged or lost at home. Second, the whiteboards will help create a more engaging classroom by allowing the students to participate in activities and games more easily. Using these whiteboards will ensure that each student can still participate even when they don't feel confident enough to approach the front-board. Third, the snacks will provide me an option for PBIS rewards that really help encourage student engagement.

My students come from various countries with little to no English and providing them with an engaging and stable classroom environment really helps foster their educational success.

With these items, I can continue to provide them with a classroom that helps them connect with school, while also encouraging them to become invested in their learning. These items will make a significant impact on improving the learning environment for my students.
