Help me give my students a Colorful Places Seating Rug and a Library Trio (set of 3 chairs) to help create a learning environment for student with diverse needs.
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
I teach in a Title I elementary school located in New York City. My first grade class is filled with children of diverse background and needs. My class is passionate about learning and their class community. These students are extremely hard working and aspire to do their best everyday.
My students are eager and enthusiastic.
My students each have their own dreams and goals that they one day hope to achieve. My goal as an educator is to continue to build upon my students love of learning and help them succeed in everything that they do.
My Project
In my classroom, I strive to create an engaged, enthusiastic, and flexible learning environment that meets the diverse needs of all students in my class. Learning can not simply be done when students are sitting in desks all day. Flexible seating helps make learning student-centered and fun. I hope to create a comfortable classroom where students have their own work space to learn, collaborate, and grow.
The products that I selected will help my students stay focused and productive.
An uncomfortable student, is a distracted and unproductive student. A carpet and alternative seating options will have a positive impact on student achievement in my classroom.
