My Students
I work at a Title I school. I will be teaching 28 3rd grade children in the Bronx. All of the children receive free breakfast and lunch. Each child in my classroom absolutely loves learning. I incorporate a variety of learning strategies, group work, and alternative seating and learning options to ensure that each student's needs are met, right where they are! They are truly an incredible group, and I am so lucky and thankful to have a new group of learners that are excited and ready to learn each year! The supplies that are requested will all children in the classroom. These children just need someone who cares! Please help if you can!
My Project
Our classroom has gone Digital! We’ve been enjoying our new venture into creating a learning environment fit for the 21st Century! Having this laser printer in our classroom aligns with our school community's shared mission. Our mission is to provide a safe caring community for all children, be more culturally responsive to their academic needs, and increase self-worth so that our learners. With this printer, we will be even better able to be more flexible and efficient with providing students with what they need and to modify instruction to support my diverse learners. Thus, students will be more engaged in their learning, they will feel more comfortable, and feel less emotional tension towards our learning targets that they might not yet be fully comfortable with. Students will be able to print resources that will assist them with learning and that will allow them to be more invested in lessons. Students will be able to print out and keep a hard copy of content related research they find online instead of trying to jot down notes. This will also allow for more differentiation and enrichment options to meet the needs of all my learners and also cater to their social-emotional needs. My students would also like to display their work on bulletin boards in and around the classroom. This laser printer will help us bring those digital crafts to life. Students want to feel proud of their work and what better way than to have the opportunity to showcase it for visitors to admire and compliment as well.
