A Laptop to Keep Us on Top
My students need a laptop computer.
The children will be able to view what is on the computer in life size instead of gathering around a tiny screen for lessons.
My students come from a low socio-economic area where basics are hard to come by.
Most of my students receive free lunch and have a difficult time affording the extras. My class of 20 students is made up of many Spanish speaking students where English is their second language. The best quality my class has is they are respectful to adults and appreciate anything I give to them or new to the classroom. They are hard workers and often aim to please.
I am requesting a laptop computer for my Kindergarten students to use across the curriculum. The laptop will be hooked up to a projector so whatever activity we choose to participate in will be enlarged to screen size. Kindergarten is an important year to learn letters and sounds, reading, and math.
There are many interactive sites that the students can use to practice phonics and reading books aloud. Not to mention, practicing addition and subtraction facts.
Helping fund a laptop for my classroom will help me differentiate the curriculum and teach the children in a new age technology classroom.
Many of the children in my class have do not have access to technology so I feel a laptop would bring new life to learning. Please consider helping fund a laptop for my class, what a difference it would make! My students need a laptop to access the many multimedia resources to aide in reading, writing, math, science and social studies.
