We are a diverse school with many different backgrounds.

Some children come to us with a limited English background. Parental help can be difficult because no English is spoken once the child leaves school for the day. Many children are from low income families and do not have access to computers at home.

My Project

We were fortunate to get a wall mounted smartboard for our classroom 2 years ago. Unfortunately, the laptop that was donated to me no longer can run the programs necessary to work the smartboard. Currently, we are using a desktop computer which takes away from the number of working computers in my classroom.

Technology is an integral part of learning in today's society.

My students love learning using the smartboard. Using a new laptop will save time and frustration that we have experienced while using our old desktop as a laptop substitute.
