This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

My students come from 5 different continents, accounting for dozens of countries. I teach in one of the largest districts in the nation, where 100% of my students receive free or reduced rate lunch. We have a large non-English speaking population as well.

Even though my students are disadvantaged due to Hurricane Harvey, they are very determined to be successful in the face of adversity.

They are always smiling and eager to learn. They do not let their circumstances overshadow their vision for their future.

My Project

Technology is a component of education that students cannot live without. In today's classroom, students who don't thrive with technology are fighting a losing battle to keep up with their peers. Chromebooks will allow my students to become more competitive with surrounding schools.

Chromebooks will allow my students to create digital portfolios for our classroom.

With the help of this technology, we will pave the way for digital citizens with the desire to succeed. This technology will also allow us to prepare for the upcoming state tests by creating online lessons that are student driven, allowing for students to take their future into their own hands.
