My Project
My students, now more than ever, need joy in their lives as they finish out a challenging school year. This transition has been tough for some of my students, and I want them to feel supported and heard every step of the way.
Music class gives them the space to improvise, create, and perform as they work to discover their potentials.
They are very active students, overflowing with curiosity and kindness, excited for each new day back in the school building. We are a Title I school, so many of my students do not have access to instruments or technology at home. We want to continue to encourage their excitement and exploratory nature while acknowledging all of the hard work they have put into this first year back in-person.
I am hoping to award all of my dedicated students with their very own kazoo at the end of the year. I also want them to have the opportunity to decorate these kazoos and make them their own!
