My Project
My students love art! They like to engage in a variety of art activities and use different art supplies to create their artwork. Currently, my students' favorite way to express them self through art by using paint. We love to finger paint, construct art and crafts, paint with sponges, brushes, and a number of other textures and writing tools such as markers and crayons. My students have uniquefully diverse backgrounds and ability levels and have often not had access to art outside of school.
We use art to help student build our stuents fine motor skills, and explore their artistic skills while helping some of our students with autism build tolerance to a variety of textures, to provide sensory input, and create art.
We encourage students to work on communicating their emotions and thoughts verbally while engaging in art. Students learn to follow directions, share, respect each other space and belongings while participating in art activities.
Please, help us replenish and add to our art supplies to help my artists continue to engage in a varity of art.
