My spectacular second grade students or "Thinkers" as I like to call them come from all over the world. Many of them speak another language at home. Of my 18 students, two receive special education services, 8 are ELL (English Language Learners) and more than 52% qualify for free and reduced breakfast and lunches. Our school is located in an urban setting just steps away from the beach and serves a wide variety of students from diverse cultures and countries.
They are a very creative, detail oriented, and focused group of "Thinkers" who love to build, paint, write and encourage each other.
This year my students are very eager and truly enjoy hands on project based learning! These students are a very focused group who love to incorporate technology in their day. My students are learning how to use T.E.A.M (Together everyone achieves more) to communicate and help support one another! We can accomplish so much when we work as a TEAM!
My Project
Did you know that diffusing lavender oil can reduce student stress, calm students, and help them relax? Lemon essential oil can be used for controlling germs and removing odors. Orange essential oils help to uplift the classroom atmosphere, enhance student concentration, and help with germ control!

Having a classroom in Hawaii automatically means that we have adorable tiny gecko guests that share our classroom! They are vital to our environment as they take care of other small insects for us. However, they poop all over our classroom. Having a MOOSOO Cordless Vacuum Cleaner would allow us to to quickly and sanitarily clean up after the geckos.
