Help me give my students access to our classroom library by purchasing bookshelves to get our books out in the open so that students can easily browse and enjoy them.
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
Our school received a very generous grant to purchase books for a classroom library, but most of the books are lining the windowsills or sitting in boxes because we have nowhere to display them in our classroom.
Most of my students do not read for fun on their own, so having a classroom library full of engaging YA literature where they can easily access the books and browse the titles is key to getting these books into their hands.
These bookshelves will get the books out in the open, so that they can be easily accessed by every student in my classroom.
