My Students

I have twenty-two students from diverse backgrounds who strive to do their best each and every day. They are highly motivated and eager to learn. I am amazed every day by their ability to absorb new information and moved by their kindness and positive attitudes. Each morning, we begin our day with a handshake and a song, and I honestly look forward to seeing them every single morning. While their learning needs vary greatly, they each shine in their own way and bring different talents into our classroom.

My Project

With these books, students will be practicing essential skills to help them become better readers. In class, we study different novels each month. This is probably my students' favorite time of day. They look forward to discussing the story and finding out what happens next. I am always looking for books that will excite them, and engage their imaginations, and motivate them to become better readers. My hope is that these novel study books will broaden their literary horizons and create lifelong readers. Holes is an excellent story with many mysterious plot points that I know my students will love and remember.
