Curious, enthusiastic, and creative; my students love learning and challenges. They come in every morning excited about what they are going to learn or be able to work on. Their sense of community and love for one another is evident in how well they work together and share ideas. Most of my students come from low socio-economic backgrounds and do not get the experiences most other children do outside of school. I try to provide an environment and opportunities in their learning and their lives so they will continue to be life-long learners and well-rounded members of their communities.
Our school magnet program is STREAM - science, technology, Reading, engineering, arts, and mathematics.
The students in my class truly embrace this program and all the potential it holds for them. They look forward to the plans we make for our learning adventures. They value the materials we have to work with as part of their exploration.
We try to make every day positive and fun!
My Project
These items, especially the Kleenex products, are vital to maintaining a healthy school year. When face-to-face instruction resumed last year, we used a lot of sanitizers and paper towels to keep us healthy.
We ran out of paper towels and hand sanitizer quickly.
We couldn't share materials, like pencils, or reuse them if they could not be sanitized. A lot of reserve supplies were justifiably used up. I added the stickers just for fun! Who doesn't love getting a smelly sticker on their paper?
These products will get us off to a healthy start as we establish routines for handwashing/sanitizing as well as writing and getting a little reward (stickers!) along the way.
