This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

My students walk into my class every day and expect a safe learning environment where they have all the tools necessary to succeed. I want to make sure that is exactly what they get. Many of them have faced numerous challenges in their life that were beyond their control. I want them to have their education be something they are in control of and they can succeed at.

They are challenged in my class as well as praised.

They are rewarded, but also expected to rise to certain standards. These students are the reason that I come to work in the morning. They inspire me to become a better teacher and to help them in any way that I can.

My Project

If you had told me a few years ago that I would go through masks as fast as I go through pencils I would never believe you. Yet, here we are, in 2022, and still wearing face masks and cleaning non-stop. I do not mind doing it, because I know that it keeps my kids safe and healthy, but the cost of all of these items at the rate we go through them can get to be a lot.

These items will help protect my students and their teachers throughout this difficult school year.

These items will be spread out to my whole team and will allow us to teach them throughout the rest of the school without having to worry if we have the supplies we need to make sure they are all safe. Thank you so much for your consideration and donations to this project!
