My Students

I am the art teacher at a Northern Ohio Charter School for students who have been diagnosed with ADHD and/or Asperger's Syndrome (high functioning autism). Our school is a special education program founded on the principle that any child can learn given the proper learning environment and tools.

I absolutely love my teaching assignment!

I teach art to 200 young artists at all grade levels (K-12). My students are creative and energetic and truly enjoy learning about and making art.

My Project

It's a New Year and my students and I plan to make some beautiful artwork together. Unfortunately, we have had lots of absences this school year due to recurring illness among our staff and students.

I would like to create a safe, healthy space for my artists to make art without germs!

I am picturing a calm art classroom that smells great in the soft glow of our Himalayan salt lamp diffusing KidSafe essential oils like "Immune Booster" and "Calming the Child". I would like to use more natural cleaning products in my classroom like the Seventh Generation disinfecting wipes to promote health and wellness.
