A Great Start to Our Year!

Help me give my students the supplies they need for a positive start! Fidget toys to help with anxiety, positive affirmation cards, exercise dice and snacks to get them used to a day in 4th grade!

My Project

Starting the school year can be a huge transition for many kids. While some are so excited, others are scared, nervous and anxious. This year I am making mental health and exercise a focus from day one. I have requested many items to help students manage their emotions such as the squish balls, spinners and play dough. These items will be used for soft starts when kids arrive in the morning, in our calm corner or even at an individual desk of someone who needs a release of energy all through the day. Items such as the jump ropes and exercise dice will help during our brain breaks in the afternoon. Students thrive with a quick exercise break to get their body moving for a few minutes allowing them to have better focus for the remainder of the day.
