This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
I absolutely love the curiosity and enthusiasm my 1st grade students bring to the classroom every day. They are full of wonder, and their eagerness to explore the world around them is truly inspiring. Whether they're tackling a new reading challenge, engaging with math problems for the first time, or simply sharing something exciting from their day, their energy and joy for learning are contagious. They’re at a stage in their education where every new concept sparks excitement and a sense of achievement. Each child brings something unique to the table—different strengths, perspectives, and imaginations. Watching them grow and develop, day by day, is one of the most rewarding parts of teaching.
My students are particularly special because they are incredibly resilient and adaptable.
Despite the challenges many of them face, both in and out of the classroom, they continue to push forward, helping one another, and always looking for ways to understand and improve. Their compassion and creativity are qualities that stand out in every activity they engage in.
The Meta Quest headset will be a game-changer in how we approach learning in our classroom. With immersive virtual reality experiences, students will have the opportunity to engage with lessons in an entirely new way. Whether they are exploring historical landmarks, diving into the depths of the ocean, or experiencing the wonders of space, the Meta Quest will make abstract concepts come to life. This immersive technology will help bring subjects like science, history, and even math into a visual, interactive experience that students can engage with directly, making learning much more concrete and exciting.
