My Students

Most of the students that I service come from impoverished socioeconomic backgrounds. 100% of them are a part of our federal government program which receives free and/or reduced lunch. Students range between the ages of 5 to 11. Despite their circumstances, they show up daily in preparation for learning and are excited about their learning environment as well as their learning experience.

My Project

This project was created to assist my students in the winter month. I wanted to ensure that my students would be clean, warm, and comfortable during the winter months. These clothes will help my students stay warm and have something in case of accidentals. Many of them get easily distracted when they are not in the proper attire for their learning environment. Some even miss out on instructional time due to a lack of inappropriate school clothes.

I feel that I hold a certain amount of responsibility in assisting that my students receive the best possible learning experience by providing the daily necessary essentials needed for a productive and successful future.

It is my desire that my students will get what they need through this project being funded.
