This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

While my students are fortunate to have access to our school library and our growing classroom library, many don't have literature or books of their own at home. I would love to gift the Spanish version of Shel Silverstein's The Giving Tree, El Arbol Generoso, as it is a classic story that has multiple messages that students can delve into and discuss with families each time they read the book. It is a story I have shared with them and they have enjoyed reading and would love to give them their very own copy.
