A Gift of Sound and Words for All

Help me give my students the gift of sound and words to help them learn and grow with a set of headphones, some new books, and classroom basics.

My Project

My amazing students are in need of a classroom set of sturdy headphones. Our district has become 1:1 with Chromebooks, but not every student has headphones. We use audio tools on a weekly basis for independent reading supports, and learning background information through video clips.

Also, I am requesting multiple high interest books focused on African-American stories, history, and culture for my 8th grade Humanities readers to dive into and make strong connections.

Every year my students' book request list grows and these titles will help us continue to build our rich print library. Increasing some of our picture books titles is a great help as well since they tend to cost more than the average YA novel. Truly, middle schoolers love the artwork and visuals.

Lastly, we are a classroom of writers, and we always need more pencils, markers, and sticky notes!
