This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
This year our students will be learning about gardening in a variety of ways ranging from traditional in-ground to high-production hydroponics!
We will have a hydroponic garden growing in every classroom!
This project will help put a small garden in each of our sixth grade classrooms as we have already placed a garden in all K-5th grade classes. In addition to these smaller classroom units, we also have three larger systems including a commercial unit that will make sure that all students in our school are given a chance to see their work thrive.
To help build excitement, this project will allow our students to grow the plants that have interested them the most, including hot peppers! Students will learn not only about plants, but also the importance of lab safety.
