This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

I have been a teacher for as long as I can remember. The one thing that I know is that these kids suffer from so much trauma and stress outside of school. All I want is for them to have a safe space where they can come and let go of all their problems and have fun. I want to create an indoor space that allows students to be kids and bean bag chairs and games will do just that. It is amazing how just a little bit of silly can make a kid's entire day. They open up and let go when playing a game with a teacher or mentor.
