This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

The food and clothes I am requesting are basic essentials that some of our students are lacking. Many of our students are living in unstable living conditions or are newly arrived to the country with only the clothing on their backs. Many students don't have access to adequate food and clothing. Research shows that if students have access to sufficient resources such as food and clean clothing, their social/emotional well-being increases, which also supports improved attendance and learning.

The resources I am requesting will help support a free store and pantry that I run at the school.

This project helps to provide students with basic necessities that can help them to feel more comfortable attending school.
