Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
I am a first year teacher that started in the middle of the year. My students have had multiple teachers leave and have had lots of unstableness. My hope is that I'm able to create a classroom where they feel safe and comfortable to learn in. I want to create stability for them and give them opportunities to learn and create in their new classroom. My students love to read and I hope I'm able to give them a reading corner so they can practice their reading skills to become more confident. I would love to have flexible seating and a rug for them to have seating option to read or do their work. My students would also benefit from headphones, so that they can get their work read aloud to them, so they can hear the correct pronunciations of words.
