Help me give my students an updated classroom library that will peak their interest, encourage independent reading time and harbor a love for a variety of texts.
My classroom library is lacking current reading material. Also, many of the books have been well-loved over the years. Unfortunately, due to their popularity, many of the fan favorites have ripped or missing pages or the binding is no longer in tact. I'd like to replace some of our dearest books with an updated version.
The biggest drive to create this project is to get new book titles to our class library.
I'm interested in adding books that are part of a series. Bringing in books that are part of a series will encourage students to explore other books by the same author.
Finally, it's extremely important that all students be at access books at their level and feel represented in books that are in our classroom. Currently, our classroom library is lacking diversity and level ranges. With the books chosen there will now be a variety of levels and backgrounds.
