This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.
My Students
My students are each brilliant in their own unique way! Each and every day they come in with bright smiles and warm hugs leaving the cares of the world behind. Although my students come from low economic status homes they don't let it show.
Each of them has their own learning styles and I do everything I can to accommodate them.
Despite what supplies we may be lacking, my students are always ready to learn and I am always looking for new exciting ways to teach!!
My Project
In previous years I have handmade many of the assignments given to my students. Doing this does afford students the opportunity to have enriching work however oftentimes it has been deemed as illegible.
By purchasing a classroom printer, I will be able to better serve my student with clearly printed work and be able to communicate with parents on a more professional level.
This project will also allow students to have an actual journal to work in. Many times grade-appropriate journals are not purchased with the yearly school supplies or purchased at all, thus causing students to have work in a teacher-made journal.
