This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

I work at a STEM magnet middle school in Indiana. This means that my students chose to come to our school to learn more about science, technology, engineering, and mathematics.

My 7th and 8th graders come from all around the city to form a community where we focus on our core values of rigor, community, relationships, and drive.

My students come from diverse cultures and experiences, and some overcome significant obstacles to succeed at our school. In their two short years with us, they come in as young pre-teens and develop into teenagers prepared to flourish in high school!

My Project

Our math classroom needs a brand new white board because ours is so old and used that it barely even erases anymore! This whiteboard is perhaps the most used item in our class for daily learning besides our brains of course! We use it to show our work, do examples, and do peer teaching. We are requesting a new whiteboard to go on our side wall along with a set of basic colored markers, enough erasers to last us the school year and the every important board cleaner spray! My students and I would be grateful for years to come! Thank you so much for any contribution you can support us with through this wonderful website.
