My Project
I am launching this DonorsChoose project to support my primary-level students with special needs as they begin a fresh start to the new school year.
Transitions can be particularly challenging for young learners with exceptional needs, and having the right tools in place, such as visual supports, sensory items, and structured routines can make all the difference.
These resources will help ease the transition, promote a sense of security, and set a positive tone for the months ahead.
While our classroom is thoughtfully designed to support students with special needs, we often require more specialized materials and resources to effectively meet their diverse learning and sensory needs. Many of my students benefit from having their own individual supplies, which helps them build independence and take ownership of their learning. In addition, as many of our students are learning essential self-care and hygiene skills, cleaning supplies are a key part of maintaining a safe and supportive environment.
