Celebrate Black Teachers and Students

This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.

My Students

I teach 26 amazing students at a public school in an urban city in Maryland. My class consists of 14 girls and 12 boys. They are inquisitive, intelligent and they love to learn! My students have made great academic gains this school year in both Reading and Mathematics. We have approximately 3 months left together and I look forward to the fun learning experiences we'll have ahead.

Seat Sacks have become a valued essential in our 2nd grade class.

These seat pockets store many items that my students use and need daily in a convenient, space saving way. Our current set of seat pockets have seen better days, so we are requesting a fresh batch to take their place.

My Project

The At-Your-Seat Storage Sacks that I am requesting will allow my students to store their supplies, assignments and books conveniently at their desks. Our current seat pockets are dirty, worn and ripping badly. They are classroom essentials, and we do not want to risk being without them.

By donating to this project, you will be providing my 26 students with seat storage sacks that will make school supplies and books more visible and readily available for them to use daily.

This will assist them with finishing out the school year strong as they strive to continue mastering 2nd grade skills.
