Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
I am about to embark on my first year in the classroom, teaching Kindergarten, and I am so excited (and nervous) to begin this journey! Beginning my first year, I am working hard to build a classroom environment that sets my friends (students) up for success on all levels. This involves a lot of time, energy and resources! My students deserve the best that I can give them. With your help, we can positively impact the lives of Mrs. M's Kindergarten 2018-2019 class!
My Project
"Whether you color the world or light it up blue, you are making a difference, so keep being YOU!" Classroom Set Up Project. As teachers, we want to give our students everything humanly possible to help them to become the best versions of themselves; academically, physically, socially, and emotionally!
Books such as The Rainbow Fish and Have You Filled your Bucket Today will help my students to build valuable social and friendship skills while the Pocket Chart will help us to learn days of the week and months of the year, crucial information to get students ready for 1st grade.
As a first year teacher, it can be daunting to build a classroom from the ground up and these tools will be used to help students to build a strong foundation of literacy, mathematics, science, and social studies with which to grow upon as they enter these crucial educational years. As a kindergarten teacher, I have the incredible responsibility to ensure students leave my classroom with a love of learning and a thirst for knowledge. Adding these resources to my classroom will help to make every learning experience even more fun!
