This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

This coming summer, I am teaching summer school to incoming 3rd graders. I want them to fall in love with reading, and a great way to do that is to show them the fun and interesting world of Flat Stanley. Giving my students a book study that is fun, engaging, and on level will help them find creativity in reading.

Most students see summer school as a chore, but I want them to get excited to come to school.

I want to show them that reading can come alive, they just have to find the right book!
