This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

I’m a first-year teacher building my classroom from the ground up. My heart is full, but my shelves are pretty empty. I'm aiming to build a classroom full of diverse and playful learning. Incorporating items such as reading, writing, and mathematics will help my students grow in their learning. In addition to this, having the foundations set with basic class materials such as chairs, whiteboards, markers, headphones, and paper will give my students access to an equitable learning environment, as the majority of my students are in a Title 1 school and area.
