Help me give my students a great experience of handling money in the classroom. They are given their own banks with many opportunities to earn and spend their money.

My Project
Our second graders are now diving into the world of coins and dollar bills with individual banks at their desks. Students can earn and lose money throughout the day based on their behavior. Completing assignments on time and consistently showing appropriate and positive behavior are ways that they can earn money for their banks. Inappropriate behavior and not staying on task are ways that they lose specific amounts of money or their entire banks. We've also launched the "M-Store" (Mrs. Matagi's Store) where they can exchange coins, practice spending, and receive change. They are given a shopping list that they can look at and It's a fun way for them to learn about money management! The items that have been selected for this store will get them excited to stay accountable for their banks and promoting good behavior in and out of the classroom.
