I work with students in their FIRST school experience.
They come to me and together we develop a community of families of all different walks of life.
I work with an amazing group of students from the ages of 3-5 years of age. The classroom is an early childhood special education, the students range in ability from learning to communicate to learning to walk! Our class combines multiple early childhood theories along with following individualized educational plans.
The population of students that I service come from a range of family circumstances including low income families as our school district is a unique setting of mainly rural area.
My Project
Our classroom was started this year and with funding being a little tight, we have a few basic needs. Our students typically have some developmental needs with social play and sensory these items will allow for the building blocks of this.

With the tiles, I will use that to provide spaces for students to have time to reflect and play. The sand will be used as personal areas to draw letters and numbers as early learning and sensory combined. I will be using the other materials to develop a multitude of activities!
