Help me give my students new resources via a TPT card, cleaner whiteboards, flags to represent their home countries, and a class set of safety glasses so we don't have to borrow them each week.
I am requesting materials that will enrich our classroom learning such as a gift card to Teachers Pay Teachers, new safety glasses for our weekly science lab, whiteboard cleaner, and a few other odds and ends. The gift card will allow me to purchase new hands-on materials, especially created for English language learners. The safety classes will allow us to stop borrowing from other teachers and always have our own set on hand. I'm excited about this as it means I will not need to base our class plans on other classrooms.
My class is composed of the newest English language learners and every day we are learning new languages as well as grade-level math and science.
They are teaching me their languages (French, Haitian Creole, Tamil, and Spanish) and I am teaching them English. I work very hard to provide my students with an environment that respects and appreciates their first, second, third, etc. languages. In fact, I have two students who are working on learning their fifth language. To help me do this, I am looking to add a few resources to my classroom, including flags from every country. I think this will help my students feel welcome and honor their heritage and home countries.
All of these materials will help enrich my students' educations and provide me with the materials to help them be as successful as possible.
