My Project

My students are the most resilient 5th graders from a Title I school. They receive 100% free breakfast and lunch each day. Many come from high poverty homes where resources are limited. Meeting their educational, physical, social, and emotional needs is crucial this school year!

We are starting the new year strong and are hopeful to get some basic supplies such as Expo Markers, a shelf to hold manipulatives, a 1st day snack, math manipulatives, as well as some stickers and resin animals for encouragement!

Expo markers are used every single day in 5th grade and we never seem to have enough! We use them on our classroom whiteboards as well as with students personal small whiteboards at their desks. The shelf will be used to hold multiple items such as math manipulatives and our daily Teacher Editions per subject. My students come to school quite hungry, so a 1st day snack would be amazing! Students are obsessed with the little resin animals, so this year I am hoping to use them as incentives and rewards in our classrooms, as well as the smile stickers!
