Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
Help! Our computers are ancient and "glitchy" and cranky and don't work right even for the simplest tasks. Internet access is slow and frustrating. We need you!
My students are in the first grade.
I always have many talented children in my classes, and I am always looking to expand the educational program I deliver. The kids are desperate even at this young age to go online and see what's out there. They are interested in anything and everything and, I believe, have a human right to access the software and information available online. We live in a world where our youth are simply not provided enough quality resources to shine; this computer will help make the dream of a bright future come true.
My Project
My hope is to replace the old computers in my classroom with new ones, one at a time. Donors working through Donors Choose have already provided us with two new computers, which are just awesome. The goal is to have a station of new computers set up to function as a learning center for students to use -- for reading practice, writing practice, math practice, and to further their learning in other subjects taught in class, as well as to pursue their own interests. It would be amazing if we could make this dream come true.
Should you choose to donate, your contribution would make it possible for these low-income students to keep up with new technology.
Your contribution will help to ensure that these children will not be left out of the digital future. It's critically important.
Please, give these children a new computer. Your donation will be hugely appreciated.
