A Fan For Books

Help me give my students a desperately needed room fan and various books.

My Project

Oh Boy, are we hot! We are melting, wilting, and dripping in the heat of our classroom. Recently, some of our old fans have succumbed to heat exhaustion, i.e. daily use over 6 years. Due to the configuration of the room, we have a limited cross breeze and what does blow in through the bank of louvered windows has been warmed by the sizable courtyard paved with black asphalt just outside the door. Because of safety concerns, I keep my door shut at all times which also cuts down on the airflow.

We need this powerful and quiet fan to make the classroom more inhabitable and a better learning environment.

We are also huge fans of this selection of these funny and engaging stories and would like to add them to our library. A few of the books are Night Animals, How to Catch a Turkey,

The Wonderful Things You Will Be, and How to Catch an Elf.
