Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
I work at a Title I school. I will be teaching 28 3rd grade children in the Bronx. All of the children receive free breakfast and lunch. Each child in my classroom absolutely loves learning.
I incorporate a variety of learning strategies, group work, and alternative seating and learning options to ensure that each student's needs are met, right where they are!
They are truly an incredible group, and I am so lucky and thankful to have a new group of learners that are excited and ready to learn each year! The supplies that are requested will all children in the classroom. These children just need someone who cares! Please help if you can!
My Project
Think about how hard it is to focus when you are too hot. At our school, there are not cooling units that can be controlled by the individual teachers. There is no switch to flip to turn the heat/AC on or off.
Additionally, when we return to school we were told that we would need to keep our windows open to provide for optimal airflow, as a COVID precaution.
Please help keep our classroom cool so that our students can learn in an optimal environment so they can succeed in life.
