Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My students consist entirely of immigrants from different countries who live with guardians. These guardians include both family members and strangers who have generously opened their homes. Unfortunately, every single student is living below the poverty level and have faced, significant challenges in their short lives. Despite these obstacles, they possess a strong desire to succeed and achieve the American dream. They have dreams and hopes of building a better life for themselves and their families back home.
If you were to donate to our class, it would provide my students the opportunity to achieve their dream of learning the English language.
Having access to a journal, pencil, pencil sharpener and paper will grant them the opportunity to excel in learning the English language and it will give them hope to achieve their dream.
