My students need a document camera to support the growing need for technology in the classroom.

My Students
Technology is the wave of the future and my students need more exposure and experience with it. My students love any kind of technology that I am able to introduce into the classroom. I find that their passion for learning is increased as the presence of technology increases in the classroom.
My students are very savvy with technology.
They learn how to navigate all new technology very easily because they might use the same thing outside of the classroom or have learned in other programs. Our school is great but lacks resources that could supply us with the much needed technology that our students thrive from.
My Project
The document camera would be used before, during and after lessons. Before lessons we could review homework and any other work they may have had difficulty completing. During the lesson I would be able to model my expectations of a lesson and students can practice with the support from their classmates. After a lesson I can do a quick assessment of which students need extra support and those that may need a challenge.
Students and teacher will alternatively use the document camera to both celebrate work and learn new things.
My project will make a difference because it will encourage my students to share their thinking with the class and for them to celebrate their accomplishments by sharing their work.
My students show more interest in lessons when I am able to include technology, which in turn will increase academic outcomes.
