My Students
Our community of learners are the most sincere students around. We have students with a range of learning disabilities, health impairments and developmental delays that impede learning when compared to same age peers. ADHD, dyslexia, fetal chemical effects and memory deficits are a few of the challenges that these kiddos face. Additionally, our school is located in a very impoverished neighborhood. Our students endure hardships in their personal lives that they bring to school with them. It remains my job to make them feel safe as well as inspire them to learn despite these hardships.
All these challenges do not stop us from getting to work; we all work hard and understand that by persevering with a growth mindset and putting our resources to good use, we will meet our learning growth goals.
My Project
Nearly every classroom in this nation has a document camera to support instruction. They are a necessity for instruction to flow smoothly and for groups of students to access content simultaneously. They save time and resources.
Document cameras remain one of the most vital tools in the classroom environment.
The uses for document cameras are endless, and, if you ask teachers that use them regularly, they will tell you that they are vital for instruction and learning. Unfortunately, we do not have one, and this is impeding our instructional process. I had one in my room last year, but, after relocating, our new classroom does not have one. All requests I made have been rejected, so we are taking our own measures to procure one. We're excited to have a document camera in our classroom! Thanks for considering our project!
