My Project

I teach amazing students who just don't like to read. Specifically, I teach middle school students who are struggling with reading, 2 or more grade levels below. They can feel discouraged, frustrated and even hopeless about reading. I want to motivate my students to read books that they see themselves in and represent all races.

These books will diversify my library with BIPOC authors and characters!

These books will open the eyes of my students to people, places and themes that they are less familiar with. These books will promote deep and relevant discussion among my students.
