This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
My classroom is filled with students with different interests, different backgrounds, and different needs. While all my students are kind and welcoming with each other, it is a wonderful thing to have books that give students something to connect to.
These books can be a wonderful tool as mirrors and windows for my students, to see themselves in, as well as to catch a glimpse of others' experiences.
With these books, my students will be able to learn about and make connections with other people, as well as be able to share their experiences with the world. This will be imperative to help our world continue to be a kind and accepting one. The notebooks will be a part of our morning routine, as a check in journal, to write daily about their experiences and feelings.
