Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

My classroom of 22 Kindergarten students, ranging from age 5 to 6, is in need of a more diverse classroom library, as well as more math manipulatives. My students attend a Title I school where they qualify for free breakfast, lunch, and dinner. The needs are great in this area, and the students are great too!

My DonorsChoose list contains math manipulatives as well as a diverse range of books with life lessons within the covers.

These manipulatives in the Manipulative Library and items such as magnetic tiles will help my students learn, play, and grow in a classroom environment. Books such as The Bad Seed and The Sour Grape support brain development and reading skills. These are the most foundational years of their lives as far as developing a love for learning.
