A Display for Creative Art & Events for Mental Health

Help me give my students a way to highlight Sources of Strength (suicide prevention) events all year, and allow art honor students to display work at Fine Arts Night.

My Project

WHS is in need of display panels to be used in a variety of ways: displaying information all year that encourages student connection and support mental health initiatives as part of "Sources of Strength", and displaying student artwork at Fine Arts Night.

We aim to celebrate our students' creative talents and promote events focused on suicide prevention.

The primary way we would use the panels is for our "Sources of Strength" campaigns that focus on suicide prevention by promoting connections between peers and caring adults. Our campaigns create opportunities for positive student interactions through school-wide activities. Examples would be displaying activities associated with stress-free week before finals: therapy dog visits, bean bag tournaments, and meditation groups.

Fine Arts Night is the secondary use; we need a way to display artwork in our cafeteria/commons area. We would also share the display panels with the elementary school in support of their art department's efforts to display grade level artwork during parent-teacher conferences, and with the music department to display senior bios at musicals. We aim to make our one "home game" spectacular for our student artists, because they deserve to be celebrated too.

Our Sources of Strength group promotes "what is your strength?". The wheel of strengths reminds us that we have many resources and people around us. We all have strengths. Thank you for helping us celebrate them ALL!
