My Project
My students LOVE reading The Lightning Thief every year. It has been one of the most successful additions that I have made to our curriculum. They can relate to his struggles in school and find the action-packed story exciting and engaging.
However, our copies of this book have been very well-loved, and after two years of use, they are falling apart.
This is likely because we are currently using a set of paperbacks that are not meant for the kind of daily use 116 middle school students put them through.
With your help, I would love to provide a new set of hardcover books for them to use for years. These books should be structurally more robust than our paperbacks, so hopefully, they do not need to be replaced as often, too.
