This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.

My Students

I teach a wonderful group of students in a diverse area. I am blessed to teach an amazing group of students who I believe are excited about learning. They work very hard every day striving to achieve.

I teach students who are eager to learn but are not provided the resources that other students have.

I know in my heart I am teaching our future doctors, lawyers, nurses, and engineers. Most of them are low income and receive free lunch.

My Project

So many of our learning materials we use in the classroom are created by the teacher. Our district has a curriculum; however, I have found that I need to provide additional games, stations, and materials to help my students master new concepts. The materials that I find need to be printed, laminated, and cut before they are ready for classroom usage.

The Brother Scan N Cut will allow our classroom to prepare resources and make them ready to use in a snap.

It is often time-consuming to print, laminate, and cut the new materials to use in our classroom. The time spent preparing the learning materials takes away from planning time. This machine will help us streamline the process of preparing the materials.
