My students need 5 bean bags that they can use during Daily 5. One station is "Read to Self," and I would love for the kids to have a comfortable place to read every day.
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
My class is full of 29 boys and girls who are eager to learn! We are located in an inner city district where all students receive free breakfast and lunch. We have more than 800 students in our building that includes Pre-K through grade 8. These children live in a low income area mainly in apartment buildings.
I want my students to shine!!!

My Project
I would love for my students to have a comfortable place to lay and sit while they do their daily reading station. For 30 minutes a day students have to read to themselves as one of our Daily 5 stations. Right now they are laying on the hard floor or sitting in their chairs they are in all day.
Help them be comfortable!
The kids would be so excited to have these bean bag chairs throughout the room to use when they are reading independently. The will look forward to this time of the day and it would put a smile on their faces!
