This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

We are the future! My students are dedicated juniors who are in need of meeting their graduation requirement. A positive environment is key to this. These students are from low socio-economic backgrounds and lack motivation. Many leave school and go straight to a job till late, only to wake up early to come to school again. Through the use a positive environment, the students will be able to get on task and meet their required guidelines.

My Project

My students are high school juniors who lack motivation and drive. They feel that because they have not passed their standardized exams, they will not succeed. The students want a coffee maker that they can make tea and coffee for when studying for their exams. The students want it to feel like a classroom version of Starbucks where they can sit and study in groups. They also want to be able to sharpen their pencils with ease. We do not currently even have a manual sharpener located anywhere in our class. As for the fans, we unfortunately have not had AIR since school started. We are hot and we want to be able to study without being all sweaty.

The students want the ease of feeling like they are at a cafe when they are studying, without the mission of actually having to go anywhere.

Some students have no cars or ways to get anywhere and this way they can unite and get together and study to pass their test.
