This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
My students are creative. They love to create art pieces that vary from visual arts to arcade games made from cardboard boxes. Kids love hands-on projects, and having a Cricut in the classroom will enhance their artistic side. Many of my kiddos come from low income households. They don't often get an opportunity to work with new technology, especially one that can spark the creativity within them.
A Cricut in the classroom will provide hands-on opportunities for them to create kid-crafted endless possibilities while providing a cool learning environment.
I want my kiddos to have the opportunity to learn how to use the Cricut so they can create greeting cards, motivational quotes, classroom signs, bookmarks, messages on t-shirts, stickers, gifts, and just anything that comes to mind. They will be able to customize their fonts and upload their designs onto vinyl or just card stock for a bulletin board message. From an organizational perspective, my students will be able to get better organized because they will be able to label their pencil boxes, storage bins, and the like. The possibilities are endless with a Cricut!
